WELCOME

Rainbow Day Nursery has been judged as a 'Good' Early Years Provision by Ofsted at our last inspection.

We want every child that spends time with us to be prepared to go to school with enthusiasm to learn and develop their knowledge and skills with confidence.

Rainbow Day Nursery aims to provide a friendly, clean, comfortable and safe environment which children will find stimulating and challenging, and where enjoyment and fun are linked with discovery and learning.

We have a strong ethos that children need to see and have an understanding of the outside world. In order to ensure children’s individual needs are met, we take them on outings - we also take children to our local park once or twice every week depending on the weather.  We have an outdoor play area with a large playhouse and activity climbing frame with slides.

Our Staff & key workers

The nursery has a team of highly qualified staff, most of whom are early years graduates with considerable experience in the sector. The staff are trained in various skills, including paediatric first aid, food hygiene, health and safety, and child protection and safeguarding. Each child is assigned a keyworker who is responsible for daily observations, raising concerns with parents, and developing a learning journal.

Early Years foundation Stage (EYFS)

The nursery follows the EYFS framework, which is a guideline for a child's life from birth to age 5. This framework helps children get ready for school and their future learning. The curriculum is based on seven early learning goals, which include three prime areas and four specific areas. The prime areas are Personal, Social and Emotional Development, Communication and Language, and Physical Development. The specific areas are Understanding of the world, Expressive arts and design, Literacy, and Mathematics
